  • S&C Coach

  • Running & Martial Arts Injury Specialist

Dan is a versatile and experienced physiotherapist with a strong background in musculoskeletal (MSK) care, education, nutrition, and strength & conditioning.

His clinical experience spans private practice, elite sport, post-operative rehabilitation, and the Ministry of Defence (MOD). At Nuffield Health, he managed complex MSK and surgical cases, with a particular focus on ACL reconstructions and rotator cuff repairs. He also led the review and update of post-operative protocols to ensure alignment with the latest evidence. Dan is passionate about advancing practice to improve return to sport, reduce the risk of re-injury, and empower patients to resume daily activities as efficiently as possible.

Academically, Dan has contributed as a sports therapy educator at the University of Essex and has published four research papers on topics such as psychological factors influencing return to sport following ACL injury, and the relationship between poor body composition and low back pain. He also has extensive experience in strength and conditioning, working with athletes across a wide spectrum — from a world number one telemark skier to international runners, regional swimmers, and Paralympians.

Dan’s career also includes international experience in Kuwait, where he managed a multidisciplinary team, delivered education, and provided nutritional coaching to improve body composition outcomes for both aesthetic purposes and symptom management — an area of particular interest to him.
